Being a food photographer is always a joy when you get to work with Anna!
We have been lucky enough to follow Anna’s journey over the last few years, and of course sample a few incredible cakes along the way as well as the odd Macaroon! Lets call it a perk of the job. Anna's passion for making absolutely stunning wedding cakes is reflected in her choice of imaginative flavours and love of making something truly special for every couple getting married. Food photography is always a creative collaborative process for us, particularly when working with like minded suppliers who share the same vision as us. Working with Anna on any shoot is always exciting because we know her cakes are truly a work of art!
Creative Shoots along the way!
Our background in wedding photography has meant we often work with Anna and our relationship has grown from there. Starting with documenting her making wedding cakes in her kitchen, to styled shoots in her cafe working with talented food stylist Jaine Bevan.
We have also worked on creative shoots with the lovely Kirsten, aka The Little Wedding helper and wedding florist Emma Norton at venues like Clevedon Hall and The Milk Thistle.
Anna Cake Couture's Clifton Cafe
When Anna opened her cafe Anna Cake Couture in Clifton we were invited to do some interior photography for her. Her attention to detail continues throughout the café, She's created a relaxed contemporary interior with modern furniture, plants in copper pots hanging from the ceiling and an array of little bags of biscuits and meringues stored on shelves just waiting to be purchased . The cafe smells of freshly baked cakes and brightly coloured macaroons fill the patisserie counter inviting you to linger and sample all of the tempting flavours. As you can imagine our job was pretty easy!
Working with us
If you would like us to do some food photography for you just drop us a line and we can arrange a time to get together to talk through everything, we can guide you through the whole process.
Lastly...
On a personal note I’ve been lucky enough to grow up in a house full of old recipe books, home made cakes and a larder crammed full of mysterious ingredients. My parents took us on holidays to the south of France, often eating in Michelin star restaurants, visiting incredible patisseries in Paris, sampling cakes and macaroons from the age of 3! So when it came to my parents 50th wedding anniversary the only logical choice was of course a cake from Anna’s. It really was the show stopper we hoped for.
